String Theory may explain the universe in the language of physics, thus becoming the “Theory of Everything.” The shared faith placed in this potential explanation of the universe has driven concentrated thought for over thirty years, without any experimental data to support the equations.
This dream of flight imagined by physicists would be manifested in the representation of energy from an accelerated particle “flying” into a dimension other than the three spatial dimensions we experience. If this phenomenon could be effectively recorded, it could provide a basic framework of evidence to support String Theory.

In order to contribute to the experimentation aimed at finding evidence to support String Theory, I constructed a Particle Accelerator out of wood, metal, and bicycle parts. My intention is to mimic the experimentation currently being conducted by String Theorists around the world.
This portion of the Dream of Flight series represents energy flight visually. Particles, (small toy cars) are accelerated by the devices and the visual result is captured via photography or video. These sources of imagery are translated into drawings and paintings. These drawings and paintings can be translated again into other media. Paintings themselves are accelerated and collided, opening further the potential for visual energy flight.
